Why You Tube App Removed from iOS 6 Beta 4 Build 10A5376e

Apple launched latest beta version (4th) of their upcoming operating system iOS 6 which was available for download to the developers only. This new version iOS 6 beta 4 build 10A5376e is promising to remove a lot many existing bugs whose change log contains a long list. The new update has removed huge list of existing bugs which is definitely going to help developers all over the World.

You Tube App

We already know that Apple removed Google Maps in iOS 6, but another of the same company’s biggest property, You Tube application won’t be available by default. The same was mentioned or not in the change log, most of us might not have noticed it initially until it was seen after download on devices. The missing You Tube app was said to be disappeared as a result of expired license to include YouTube in iOS. This sounded alarms in the ears of users especially those who are deep into the use of You Tube app on iOS devices.¬† This should be clear that removal of default app is never going to ban the streaming of You tube videos on iOS devices as they can be seen on Safari also Google is working on new app. A point to be noted here is that You Tube app will be functional on all versions of iOS 5 and below.

Apple’s statement as per the verge:

Our license to include the YouTube app in iOS has ended, customers can use YouTube in the Safari browser and Google is working on a new YouTube app to be on the App Store.

With a view over removal of Google Maps from iOS 6 onwards a term Google Cleansing is being used by several people online keeping in view the professional rivalry of both giants. A Google spokesman said according to Engadget that “We are working with Apple to ensure we have the best possible YouTube experience for iOS users.” Everything will be clear in a month time as 12 September is coming closer. One thing is for sure that some iOS users will not like to use You tube through Safari but similarly, some don’t like interruption in browsing which is caused by leaving safari and opening of altogether new app. Apple is definitely going to keep their users happy and they must be in clear picture that what people are going to appreciate.
