Apple has planned to unveil new 5th Generation iPhone on the special event planned on Wednesday 12 September 2012. This date is 9 days prior to launch of iPhone 5 in the same month. Launch of iPhone 5 is planned on Friday, 21 September 2012. The rumor has come from the source which has proved reliable in the past.
Along with the launch of this new iPhone, iPad Mini and iPod Nano is also planned on the same day. There was no previous news related to iPad Mini before this but now there are speculations that these both devices are also expected to be unveiled on the same day followed by the launch on 21st September. Last year the new iPhone was unveiled on 4 October 2011 and launched on 14 October 2011.
There was a huge gap of 16 months between iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S release. This time gap is reasonable this time somewhere around 11 months and fans don’t have to wait a lot. Last year there was no new launch other than iPhone 4S except a few minor updates in existing iPod Touch 4. iPod Touch 4G was transformed into a new white look while the iPad 3 was announced on 7 March and launched on 16 March 2012. Most probably this time Apple is going to release something new in all three formats of their products.
Previously there were news that Apple may use the same month of October for the announcement and launch but last week s0me reliable Chinese manufacturing sources, reported the September 21 as release date.
The operating system for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch OS 6, was announced during Apple’s WWDC 2012 keynote on June 11. Some new features like Google-free Maps app and Passbook is likely to get a final presentation during the September 12 event as well, and if Apple follows their old pattern, the release of the new iOS 6 will be somewhere around September 19. During unveil events, Apple shows off some new features of their upcoming iOS. So this time we have to wait what Apple has to bring for their waiting fans during the unroll of event.
The hardware for the new iPad Mini (7 inch) will be like 9.7 inch iPad. This means as far as the hardware is concerned there will be no downgrade in features as well as performance of the device which is a positive sign. We have already heard a lot many rumors about iPhone 5 like news of 19 pin dock connector, new pictures of iPhone leaked by some Foxconn employee and some other pictures also. One thing which has come up so far is that iPhone 5 will be coming with a comparatively larger screen between somewhere 3.5 to 4 inch and thinner in dimensions with a screen resolution of 16:9. All the upcoming devices are likely to have a new uniform dock connector.
